A Letter to My Love

So here in the meantime,
you'll be resting on my mind
Not for the last time
I will leave myself behind
In the evening

My reflection in the window
when I ride out for Toronto
She is on the other side
So I'll take a picture
Write a letter to my love
Well I was almost honest

Well it's been a long time
since I've laid with you in bed
Had those conversations full of words you never said
I got your message
But I didn't hear the final bells
I gave into the loneliness
But I didn't give it anything else

Which direction do I go
down this highway that I ride into Atlanta?
She is on the other side
She's going the other way

Take a picture
Write a letter to my love
I am almost honest
Well, I was almost honest

My reflection sees my flaws
in the window when I ride
In the end, I couldn't save us
but I swear to God I tried
Oh baby, I swear I tried

And there isn't a list of what I wouldn't give just to
write a letter to my love
Forever, I'll write a letter to my love
